This was easily the most well-organized job fair I’ve been to. I doubt it could’ve been done better, but if it could, your team will probably figure out how to do it that way next time. Very talented folks, committed to their purpose of making job fairs comfortable, fun, and most of all, productive.STEVEN KING SVP/DIRECTOR, AIR FORCE AND IC PROGRAMS, FGS
Our highest-demand, hardest-to-fill positions are Local Data Center Managers and Audio Visual/Multi-Media Engineering, Installation, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technicians. Beyond those niche requirements, we support a broad range of C4ISR-related hiring needs, including Intelligence Analysts, Information Technology professionals across multiple disciplines, Project Managers, and various Cybersecurity Specialists.
One of our biggest recruiting challenges is geography. Certain locations have deep talent pools in some specialties but significant shortages in others. For example, California's Central Coast—home to Vandenberg Space Force Base and related organizations—is rich with space-focused professionals, including orbital mechanics experts, propulsion engineers, launch infrastructure specialists, cybersecurity professionals, acquisition specialists, and security personnel. However, when it comes to TS/SCI-cleared, OEM-certified Audio Visual/Multi-Media professionals, the talent pool is extremely limited, and convincing qualified candidates to relocate can be a significant challenge. We face a similar situation in Central Europe, particularly around locations such as Ramstein Air Base and Wiesbaden. While these assignments offer exceptional professional opportunities and desirable living environments, the available pool of TS/SCI-cleared AV/MM talent is relatively small. Finding candidates who are already local—or willing to relocate internationally—can be difficult. These are outstanding locations, but they're often far removed from the regions where these specialized skill sets are concentrated.
ClearanceJobs remains our primary sourcing platform for cleared talent and serves as the foundation of our recruiting strategy. During periods of increased hiring activity—particularly around contract awards and transition efforts—we have occasionally exhausted our allotted resume views well before our monthly reset. In those situations, ClearanceJobs, and specifically our Account Executive Chris Fraher, has consistently worked with us to provide additional support and access, ensuring we can maintain recruiting momentum.
The responsiveness, flexibility, and partnership mindset demonstrated by Chris and the ClearanceJobs team have made a meaningful impact on our hiring efforts. It's fair to say that we view ClearanceJobs not simply as a vendor, but as a trusted mission partner.
