Microsoft is currently seeking cleared technologists across a variety of disciplines, from site reliability engineers and software developers. They also hire a variety of non-tech positions from finance to program management, and have industry-leading programs to help transitioning vets pursue technology careers.
Cleared talent – particularly cleared technology talent – is in high demand. With career options to choose from, they want to engage with a potential employer as they consider career options.
“Microsoft has been working with ClearanceJobs.com over the past several years to engage with top security cleared talent, and we co-created our first webinar with the CJ team this past spring,” said Amy Morris, senior global talent marketing program manager, Microsoft.
Microsoft selected four company representatives, and engaged with candidates through a real-time, moderated chat.
“The webinar provided a fantastic opportunity to authentically engage with our audience while sharing insights into our business and teams,” said Morris. “The CJ team did all of the heavy lifting with logistics and planning support, including promoting the event to our target audience. We were able to capture contact information of the attendees to continue to keep them engaged with our brand and invite them to future networking and recruiting events.”
After receiving more than 100 comments during the webinar, the Microsoft team took the time to respond to some of the most relevant questions through a post-event Q and A article. The webinar gave candidates insight into Microsoft’s culture, and the follow-on article provided even more detail. That’s how Microsoft keeps cleared talent engaged – and uses ClearanceJobs to help.
